Yes its my first post but not new to collecting... sorry to some of you guys how you feel my first post but... I am a member of different retro gaming forums but just tryin to hit the main audience to what im selling.
I do own quite a bit of TG16 stuff and when im going to expand that collection i'll definately cuise around this site. I am not just some joe with this stuff layin around.

I just added some MUST HAVE item if you own a Turbo Duo system... check it out... Turbo Duo system box w/ everything that it came in.. including my sales receipt if that means anything to you. Bought it back in 12/10/93.
My turbo duo came to its death when my parents dog peed all over it... yes.. very true and sad!!!!!! That was about 10 years ago and I held onto this since I wanted to replace it but never got around to it.
Added a TG16 system with 3 controllers, hookups, and turbo tap.
Added Turbo Booster Plus w/ composite cables.
If you guys want more pics of any of my items.. let me know.. I just dont want to feed ebay with more fees if I dont have to.

That's great that you have your old Turbo Duo receipt still. I'm sure it's quite hard to find a original Turbo Duo receipt if someone is looking for one. I see you are from the Bay Area too.....I'm curious to know, what store/location is the receipt from?
If you still have your broken Duo, there's a good amount of repair info and knowledgeable people here to possibly fix your Duo.

The did good work back in the day,he repaired one for me that still works great and reads CDRs perfectly. However he fell off the face of the earth one day and no one heard from since.

I wouldnt mind local pickups at all... it would make it easier on me actually since I dont have to worry bout the carrier causing any damage.
Now on that store.. I dont know much about its history at all.. I was about 11 at the time and it was just a store at the mall to me.

I dont know... Retrogames at the time seemed like a place to send it to since it was listed at TZD and i did get contact with him to arranged stuff before anything shipped out. This had to be back in 2001-2002 and i see old postings in this site about 2003 still talking about them. I have no idea what happened but i tried calling, emailing, tracking down their address, etc.. and it always lead me to a deadend. Once he got his hands on my system... all communication ended and phone number was dropped. Address didnt have a listing either when I call 411 for his area. If.. If... Retrogames is still around.. id still be screwed with no info or proof of my system being on their hands.

RetroGames has been 'gone' for the better part of ten years, but they were THE place to send Turbo systems for repair back in the day. And yes, they did have the official endorsement of TZD. It sounds like you had the misfortune of sending your system to them at the precise moment they disappeared. They were not scammers. I'm pretty sure I remember them disappearing around 2001, maybe 2002 at the very latest. They almost certainly were long gone by 2003. I say this because I remember where I was living the single time I tried to contact them (they never responded to my inquiry), and I'd moved out of that place by the end of 2002.
I've always wondered if they guy running the operation died or something based on the nature of their exit from the business.

Captron actually did exist in the north east! There were at least three I used to go to (Short Hills Mall, Woodbridge Mall and King of Prussia Mall) and surely more. They had these awesome kiosks that the manager would always turn off out of annoyance of so many kids being there always at the exact moment that was about to try out Super Mario Bros. 3. :)

I'm right next to the Short Hills Mall now, but when I was in high school, we would almost always go to Willowbrook Mall (Wayne) because it was the most convenient.
Well, thanks for the info, now I am really feeling silly (since I have visited all the malls you listed). Not once did I see CAPTRON. Damn. Or maybe I did, but the name never registered in my brain.

Duo pad and Parasol Stars received, awesome =) Decided to test it out with Blazing Lazers, and I won it for the first time. This morning, I used it to finally do in Bloody Wolf. I think the thing is charmed!
