I have a complete Magical Chase that i have played and completed. I enjoy it but not so much that i am going to let it sit on my shelf and collect dust. I got a very fair price on this game (Less than you would honestly believe) and I will let it go for the right price. Here si the catch.....its for trade only and a very wierd trade in your eyes. Since this is something you may want very badly, I want to trade it for something I want very badly. I will trade for one of two things both automotive related.
I am looking for either:
Chrysler (mopar) 383 Cubic inch "Raised Block" (not a "B" Block)
Mopar 426 Max Wedge block with Crank (must have crossbolted mains)
Conditions: To the best of the sellers knowledge they must be good and useable. Both are rare and not easy to come by.
I know its odd to ask a trade for and autmotive item but I dont have any video game wants right now that would equal this game.
Now I dont expect you to go buy these items and email to tell me you have one. Just locate one and email me what you found, i will approve or deny it and then we will finalize the rest.

lol what a cool trade :)... good luck. and if at some point that manual for MC sits and collects too much dust id be keen on it :)..
-
Damn, minty MC!
I know nothing about automotive parts but good luck with your trade!
-
Seriously?
-
have you ever tried the junk yard... i am sure you can find plenty of parts for relatively cheap or auto motive bazaars or fairs?
wish i had some parts to trade.. lol..
-
Haha I love it Terry!
I checked with my amc buff friend but he hasnt got either of those blocks. He did raise an eyebrow when I asked him about them.

Is that the correct one?

No offense, but he's looking for some rare engine. It's like telling someone looking for a copy of Magical Chase to go look at some garage sales as it might turn up. Sure there is a possibility of that happening, but it's just very very small.
-
Yeah, talking to my buddy here at work, those are pretty rare blocks and thus not cheap!
-
Next thing you know, people are going to start asking for an ounce of gold for the damn thing.
-
Haha I love it Terry!
ya me to, and what the hell give r a go as you never know... and like he said he is not asking people to run out and go buy it at this point.
I will see what is around on the canada front for those engines man :....Have the game but dont mind helping ya out :)
-
f*ck.
I sold my 70 Dart. It had one of those in it, I think.
maybe not.
I don't know shit about cars.
-
Close Beemer. That 426 doesnt have cross bolted mains though.

Sent the info to my brother, who's a mechanic. Doubt he'll be able to turn up with anything, but worth a shot!
EDIT: And as I suspected, his answer was, "A 383: rare. 426 Max Wedge? Holy grail rare. A complete 426 Max Wedge could bring in $10k. Why are you looking for old Mopar V8s? Is my brother finally showing interest in something automotive?"
When I told him it was to trade for a video game his response was, "......."

Your brother is off a little bit on those opinions but if he isnt a mopar guy then its understandable.
A 383 is not rare at all. its as common as a shit chevy anything. Now a Raised block 383 is rare, I have been looking for 11 years. 426 MW complete will pull less than 8k needing rebuild, any performance mopar will cost 10k to build (my 383 has 12k in it). I am not looking for a complete motor. I good block will go for 700-1200.00 on the net or less if you find one sitting someplace.
Why am I looking for old Mopar v8's......because mopars and restorations are one of the things i do in my spare time. I just wrapped up my 69 Superbee with a B block 383 MW motor. Started a 493 Cu" few weeks back and starting to plan another motor already.
-
No interest in maybe an AMC 401? I can get those! :P
Or maybe a BMW M60B40... ive got two of those lol.
Working on cars is great fun, but it'd be more fun if I didn't already do it 5 days a week.
-
I'll be looking! I love the uniqueness of this trade offer!

Thats why i gave it up full time Brother!

Now the question, is a complete, minty MC worth the same as a $6,000+ engine? I guess if you just had one lying around collecting dust, but it seems pretty unlikely considering their rarity... Still an interesting trade though!
-
Good luck, Terry! I doubt I'll be able to help you out, but I hope she goes to a good home. I am sure the engines will. :)

He's not looking for a full rebuild engine, just a clean ready to build block :D So that should be attainable for less than the ebay pricing of magical chase. The trouble is actually finding them as apparently these specific blocks are pretty uncommon. When you do find stuff like this, its usually some old guy that doesnt want to sell anything and would rather see it rust away to nothing in his yard than sell it.

Apparently this is a difficult concept to grasp. The block i am looking for can be had for 700.00 if you look and are patient.
Maybe i will just keep the game and shove it in a corner since its just so difficult to grasp this concept.
-
Trade arranged for Dynastic hero. Thanks for the space.
-
ahhh but i didnt think you were interested in games? i would have traded you some stuff TG related had you of mentioned that.. good luck on the engine block though :)

Sorry, I know nothing about the engine or it's value or anything, so please ignore my post. I really hope you can make the trade! If I had one of them lying around I'd surely trade it for your MC. Good luck!

Hahjajahajajahaha! Folks really do think our universe revolves around video games when they see out motivations for delving into new territory. (http://junk.tg-16.com/images/pcgb.gif)

No, he was asking me why I was looking for old Mopar V8s, since I've never shown a lick of interest in cars before and whenever something goes wrong with one of our vehicles, I get him to fix it because of my complete ignorance and disinterest. I get why you are looking for it. It's actually a brilliant trade. I told him to keep an eye out for me, but I'm not counting on it.

Yup.. will do and vice versa for you ;)..
-
Well if any of you find just the box let me know. I think I have $1,200 laying around or some shit.
Also this is the most awesome trade ever! So is this trade over with? I think I read that it was traded for Dynastic Hero?
-
Sure seems that way. I'll still keep an eye out for the blocks here just because I know how difficult it can be to find items like this.
