Title: Mission Complete
Post by: rcantor77 on April 15, 2012, 11:52:57 AM
I have been a forum member for a while and have only read articles, but thought it was about time to introduce myself. As I can't find a 'New Members' thread, thought I would post it here.

I received this in the post today...

...and it has now enabled me to give a home to one of my prized gaming possessions...

I have had the LT and Super CDROM2 since about '99... sadly they are both unboxed hence the need for the case.

I had been searching for the LT -> Super CDROM2 adapter for years and then stumbled across one on eBay UK about 7 years ago for.. somehow I snagged it for £50... bargain.

That's f*ckin sexorific right there.

It's basically porno.

What kinda case is that? how much was it?

I've entertained the idea of doing something similar with my stuff, since I have to cart it to conventions every year and usually just put them in boxes and hope it works out safely

You telling me.. man I love that setup.

The case though is just cheap one from a electronics store in the UK called Maplins. Cost me £20 in the sale.
Just by chance that the width is perfect for the LT/SuperCDRO2 setup and enough space for all the cables too.

Not sure if they ship internationally but they also have them on eBay too...

Now I feel alot happier storing and transporting it around...

yeah we have cases like that in stores around here.

I was going to grab one made for mini-gaming figures.  There is one that is multi leveled... so I could store multiple systems, lol

That is smexy.

"Gentlemen..." *flips case open, gold shines from it*

You need a combination/flightcase lock to make it that step more indulgent.

Did you have to cut the foam or was it the "pick and pluck" variety?

That case is badass!

It is like the old Blockbuster rental cases, but not shitty!

WOW that is freaking awesome. You are a lucky man and I hope you huggle your LT/SCD every night before you go to bed!

Dear Lord!

This is truly awesome:

I don't think my gear is nearly as safe (I keep hardware in padded laptop bags...it can still get crushed and knocked about).

The foam on those case are 'pick and pluck' so just work out which squeares you need out and away you go.

I would love to say I do and I probably would but I think the missus would question our relationship if i did.

yeah.  pick and pluck is the way to go.  That's how you get your big retarded tanks and shit to fit in your gaming boxes.

They used to not have that foam.  it used to actually require cutting, and it was retarded

Man, both those briefcases looks totally sweet. I'm now inspired to get a briefcase for my loose systems should I want to move/store them.

Wowza, that's frickin' sexy.  Pardon me while I go clean up my pants region.  :D

P.S. - If anyone is looking for a similar case, check out Pelican; they've all sorts of sizes, are very durable, and are even waterproof.
