Title: Rainbow Islands is haaaard
Post by: soop on July 15, 2012, 11:16:36 PM: So I was playing it yesterday, and with 5 lives and no continues, it's super damn hard. I started out just playing through normally and got stomped by the first boss, then tried playing through getting the gems in order - I got up to green :/

Is there some kind of option for continues, or do I just have to suck it up?

Post by: RegalSin on July 15, 2012, 11:55:02 PM: It is rainbow islands, I am thinking your starting to see the later, levels. Like the machine hammer head things that chase you around for example. The enemies respond to how close you are to them, and things like that. You could either, score attack, or plow threw the stage as with Kid Icarus. The Bosses, are bosses.

It sounds impossible.

Sell the game to me and I'll tell you if I fare any better.

Then again, I played it alot on NES and shit too.

I've been playing the arcade version on PS1 collection. One little mistake and DOH!

I'm assuming the PCE version isn't far off...'
