How much does ninja spirit go for these days I remember enjoying it on an emu on my very very old computer sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this.
-
i think i got mine for around $10 shipped (or in trade, not sure)
-
Yeah it seems to be a pretty common game for TG16. I wouldnt pay more than $10 or $15 for a loose copy. The PC engine version is a lot more expensive though. Around $40 for a complete copy.
Great game though, one of my favorites for the system!!

Yeah beteen 8-15 sounds about right. I think I beat that game in 1day when it first came out.
-
There's an ebay seller with new copies who's open to reasonable BO's.
-
why is the pc-engine one more expensive
-
Good question. Its usually the other way around.
-
most of the time for a usa game its because its censored or missing something. Thats what i usually find.
-
It's just pricy in Japan for whatever reason, maybe because it's popular and somewhat uncommon?
-
$20 seems to be a pretty average price from retail stores. CIC

I don't know, but I can speculate. I think Ninja Spirt NA vs JP is comparable to Keith Courage vs. Wataru:
Wataru is, surprisingly, more expensive than Keith Courage. KC is common in North America (it was a pack-in game, large quantity manufactured, demand for it is relatively low).
Wataru, I suppose, may not have been produced in as large numbers as KC. Also, I'm not sure if Wataru's tie-in to a television show would increase or decrease its desirability these days...
Ninja Spirit, while not an official pack-in, seems to have been produced in large amounts (it was considered as a pack-in for the DUO, IIRC. Whether this is because it is a good game or because NEC/TTi was stuck with a huge backstock and wanted to get rid of them is another story).

o ok good explanation

The Wataru/Keith Courage comparison seems like a very good explanation.
I have both PCE and Turbo version since it's one of my favorite games. I've been always curious to know why there seems to be a significant price difference between the two.
I do like the artwork of the PCE version more. Maybe that has something to do with the value too.
