Thanks Seldane! Just read the PCE-bible review, I dont think I want this game

I have a super-short review and a couple of screen shots on my site:
ENERGY test (http://www.vgden.com/hucard.htm?ene)
And yes, avoid this game at all costs :)

I LOVE crappy/cheesy games, but I can even admit that Energy sucks! I'm the person who thinks It Came From the Desert is still an awesome game!

I got Energy as part of a trade a long time ago. What a turd of a game. It would have been atrocious on Famicom or MSX never mind the PC Engine. In fact the screen by screen scrolling always made me wonder if it was an MSX game ported to PCE.

Dude! I was playing It Came From the Desert earlier today. I remembered you mentioning you liked cheesy games before, and since I can't stand ICFTD, I was thinking "hmm, wonder if even Keranu could get into this game?"
-
Haha, yep I do indeed love ITCD :D . I posted my feelings for it many months ago in another thread. To sum it up, I mainly liked it for the cheesy FMV, variety of mini games, and awesome horror factor.

I bought it by mistake, thinking it was some other game......frankly though, it could've been worst I suppose....I guess.

Deep Blue was my first TG game after Keith Courage. i got it for $10 at Toys R Us. I don't know if i ever really liked it that much, but i sure played it a lot and i still have a spot in my heart for that game.

Man, people need to stop dissing Deep Blue. It's not so great in the gameplay department, but it's music and graphics is soo soothing that it works great (and better) as a relaxing screen saver.
-
Dis Deep blue? if you take away the fact that you need to play for an hour and needed 100000 power ups to make your ship move faster than a snail...it was one of the best side scrolling shooters ever. :)
