Title: Interested in starting a Duo/PCFX translation, but...
Post by: Maximg on October 21, 2003, 10:16:00 AM
I'm interested in starting a PC Engine Duo/PCFX translation of my own, but I'm in need of some "tools" and info - mainly a way to test out a patch without burning a new CD each time.  Any suggestions on that?

Any suggestions on other helpful tools that may speed up the process?

Thanks,

-Nick

You could try using Daemon Tools to load your iso or cue of your patched game, and run using an emulator.

I actually tried that... are there any "hints" to get that working?  Do I have to rip my discs a certain way?  I was using Magic Engine...

How are you ripping them right now?

cddisect.  Rips games into a .cue, .iso, and .wav for the sound files.  Works fine when using the rips or original CDs on the X-Box, but not on Magic Engine...
