This looks just like the Nuon-Dome message board. This is pretty good...I just hope more people register and post.
-
Looks just like it? Well, that wasn't my intention (I just liked the colors) but Nuon-Dome uses the "ultimate" bbs system where I am using the "ezboard" system. Both are great forum engines.
-
Heh, well they're not really "my" message boards per se...I just link to them.
But anyways, the boards look great. Keep up the great work on the site!
Oh yeah, cool colors too (http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif)

Man, how different the world was when this thread was created. 9/11 was months away, I was still in the military, my son's birth was a few years out...My cat was alive...

yeah and I was only 13.

July 10th 2001, I was up in the frozen barren wastelands of Alaska slinging and gutting fish. Ahh good times, good times.
That same year, I discovered how to burn turbo games and play em on my duo. ^^
-
I was still in California. I ran a 50ft. Ethernet cable from the main house to the guest house. No wifi! My friends had Blackberries and I thought they were amazing. No phone calls, just email! IBM ThinkPad was BADASS.

I just got back from visiting family in Alaska. What part of the state were you in? It's really nice up there.
-
Back then was when I was first getting into the turbo / pce scene (had an account here but it was deleted back in '02 I think). Made a lot of good friends sharing games on the old NEC Archives direct connect hub. Real life wasn't so great back then and the hub was a good diversion. Kinda miss those days.
-
Lol, I was still playing the PCE at that time.

Haha. Yup. I played it more, in fact.
-
Bigus, I bet you have some stories brother. Always wanted to move to Alaska myself.

I was on a island in southeast Alaska in a little town called Petersburg. Rainy during the summer, artic during the winter. Enough said.
