Title: Good, "Cheap" CD-Rom and Super CD games?
Post by: lukester on December 22, 2013, 01:32:26 PM
Hey all,

I have 2 CD games. That's it. Not even Super CD.  ](*,)

I don't have much knowledge of the CD library. What are some really good games, that can be had for a fair price? Thanks.

I do want to get Rondo at some point though...

Insanity and Pyramid Plunder are cheap!

:D

but, most PCE CD games are fairly cheap honestly.   Check out like, legion or l-dis for shooters?

Just go to Hit Japan's site (GameofJapan.com) and sort by price and start buying shit!

You have to specify what you consider "cheap" or a "fair price".

Most CD games aren't expensive.

If you want to avoid the shipping fees associated with importing and you like the action/puzzle genre, then get Splash Lake.  I often see it for sale under $20 shipped and it is one of my most played CD games.

I used to own splash lake. I thought it was ok, not my cup of tea.

I do want to get ys I and ii again. Amazing, but I never got past the mines...

It's also a must-own IMO, along with the also-reasonable Buster Bros/Pomping World.

I love Buster Bros. However, I may never beat it. :(

I ONCE got to the Moon level, and instantly was annihilated.

Maybe I'll try it later.

If you like Fighting games, you can find FF special, Flash Hiders, Kabuki itto Ryodan and Asuka 120% burning fight at very cheap prices and they're all very good. FF special, exept the parallaxes, is nearly Neo Geo perfect.
