Title: My modded TE video
Post by: synbiosfan on July 13, 2014, 01:56:48 PM
I figured I'd share the terrible video I made of an awesomely modded TE!

I mentioned to a friend on another site I'd make a video of it so I did. You guys know about the mods already so yes it's old news here.

That's awesome, it's like an absolutely perfect TE with those mods.

Where did ya get those mods? I recently got to look at a modded TE from Turbokon that had the same mods but an even bigger screen.

I actually have a broadcasting background.

After school (http://www.specshoward.edu/), I took a job for a phone & internet services company in Wichita. Sorry it wasn't pornographic :P WorldPages.com iirc was one of those services where you'd call a local number, punch in a code for sports updates, lottery numbers, hehe soap opera updates, etc.

This was 1999 and my main responsibility was a wrestling report. That was so much fun and it was the #3 called line more often than not. Fricken soaps were always #1, lottery next, then my baby the wrestling line.

I should have had a bullet point list when I did the video but I didn't think I'd forget and ramble a bit :P

EDIT: since nullity said I look like Peter Dinklage, I thought I'd add my voice to his image of me

I used turbokon also but I just don't care for how much the 3.5" alters the look of the TE/GT personally. I did have two TEs and considered the 3.5" but traded it towards modding on my Duo-R.

AHA! That's why! I'm kinda jealous cause I hate my voice in my videos. Heh-heh.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

I wanted to make it non-collectard by not talking about games and focusing on the system. I meant to say replacing the caps could fix a video/sound issue but I think I said will. I just don't want to see a TE/GT tossed because of bad caps.

I also wanted to get a good plug for turbokon's website since I'm grateful for the work he's done. I can't help the community like some of you are able to but I do what I can

@ NightWolve I don't think anyone gets used to their own voice in a recording. I'm always trying not to sound like a total dolt and sometimes succeed.

@ turbokon I love Wichita! If my company wouldn't have been bought out/absorbed by a competitor, I would have been very happy living there.
