Title: Briefcase Setup - CD-ROM2 Not booting

So this year at MGC my briefcase setup was put on display for the enjoyment of the people. Unfortunately it caught an STD and the CD-ROMROM decided to stop working.

Figured someone here would know what the issue is - hoping someone can lead me in the right direction. Here's what happens:

1.) System boots
2.) System 3.0 BIOS screen pops up
3.) Hit Run -> Disc spins and spins off and on, nothing happens

Does this sound like a belt issue, laser issue, spindle issue....?

This disc spins off and on continuously or spins slightly and then off?

I'll double check for you - can't 100% remember. Hell, I'll videotape it so you can see and post it.

Hello

It's a laser issue, when the laser is too low, it's doesn't detect the cd.
You can test to turn the lens pot anti hour, but the better way, it's to change the Lens by a new lens
