For instance, there's been a number of awesome quality of life updates made to some games that were just a few weeks off from being properly finished. Games like updated Energy (https://www.indieretronews.com/2017/03/energy-flawed-pc-engine-game-gets.html) or sound fixes in games like Order of the Griffon (https://www.pcenginefans.com/forum/index.php?topic=23450.0)!
Also seeing more work being done on fixing some of the crazy stuff Working Designs did to Exile 2 and Cosmic Fantasy 2 to make those games more playable even! I'm not talking about just translating games either, however, getting fan-translations for the hundreds of incredible Japanese RPGs is such important work!!
So what other games are on your list of bugs or issues you'd like to see some crafty devs fix?
The short list (to be updated after I think more about it or get some great ideas from this thread!)
Parallax scrolling fixes to:
Ninja Gaiden HuCard
Ys III CD-Rom2
What would you add?
-
SF II CE with the added moves/features from hyper fighting
it's already a nice port but would be lovely to have included. only new graphics would have to be the title screen?
also...sound/color fix for new zealand story. great level design and gameplay but everything else...

Patch caravan modes back into games that have them as a separate edition

We were working in a remake of Golden Axe using the Arcade Card. Most of the music was a mashup of the telenet music with the Sega classics music. However, a few songs I had to go in and redo from scratch because I just wasn't happy with how they turned out on the original telling that version. Then there was one or two songs that weren't in that version as well. Like the song for the extra level that's featured in the Genesis game.
So I had all the music done and ready to go. Black Tiger was tweaking the graphics using the arcade tiles and Sprites and they looked amazing, very rich looking. He might have had most of the graphics ready. I think the only exception is the extra level since that wasn't in the arcade version, there would have to be some revising of the Genesis tiles and probably additional tiles so as to match the rest of the game which had more unique tiles in each level.
There was an engine that Rover had started, but I'm not sure how far along it got. I remember seeing a test video on YouTube of Ax Battler selecting which soundtrack to use, because there was going to be my version and the original arcade. I haven't seen that video on YouTube lately though. If I'm remembering right, it was going to be the same engine we were going to use for Dragon Arm.

How about a button hack for Street fighter II so you can use both Kicks and Punches on a regular controller without having to hit select. Maybe a way to remap the buttons in options or if that's not possible, just make the default like neogeo games where button I and II are the strongest attacks and "Run" and "Select" are the weekest ones. Just like the neogeo ports for the Arcade CD system card.
