Title: PC ENGINE GT broken capacitor pad cc503
Post by: 8 Bit on February 24, 2025, 01:02:28 AM
While recapping my GT one of the pads broke for cc503 and I can't figure where the positive side of capacitor should connect now. Does anyone know exactly where the positive side of capacitor can connect?
Also, I have tried uploading pics and keep getting a msg saying folder is full no matter the size of the pic.

Sorry, photo embedding doesn't work.  You'll need to upload them elsewhere and link.

I'm dumb, but we've a few super knowledgeable guys that should be able to help.

Here you go.

You'll have to scrape off some of the green solder masking to solder. If the traces are missing as well, then shove an old capacitor lead through the via hole to see where it comes out on the other side. Once again, you'll have to scrape off some of the green solder mask so you can solder the capacitor lead into the via hole. Just use a fine small screwdriver to scrape it. You don't need some special tool.

Got it repaired, thanks!.
The traces were gone so I didn't want to just guess where it should connect.
