Enjoy all, gerbers here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1G4r6KPvaVhwxf9Wu5JergJt0Y7JeKrdA/view?usp=sharing order the board as 1mm thickness.
I tried to attach to the forum here but it said upload folder full :shock:
Pads are sized for 0805, but I personally used 0603 anyway since those are what I had on hand
R1 = 1K
R2 = 10K
C1 = 10uf
D1 = 1N4148WS-E3-18
UNMARKED GATE = SN74LVC1G02DCKRG4
IC1 = SN74CBT3383DW
FFC header I used was a generic 40way 1mm pitch one from aliexpress (RTLECS)
There's only very minor 'branding' on the board which is a cheshire cat in the silk screen. You can also opt to have the boards made with no silk, because sometimes just knowing there's some branding on there can be annoying, right?!
Hope this helps folk looking for a cheap way to produce replacement boards.
It can be used without all the passive components and without the region free switching by simply bridging the pads in pairs;
2+3, 4+5 6+7, 8+9, 16+17, 18+19, 20+21, 22+23
I didn't bother making two variants of the board since the cost would be no different between having them made and each board is able to be multi-purpose with a small effort.
Tested the replacement hucard connectors you can find on aliexpress too and they seem to work great too, only caveat was that they were slightly too large and they needed to be sanded on both sides.
I have around 10 of these assembled ready to go, so if anyone in the UK wants one I'd sell for ?20+post, no need to harvest any parts. :bonkthis:

Where did you get the flat flex cable?

Got the flexes from ebay, just generic ones 1.0 pitch 40pin. I ended up using smaller ones that weren't pictured (5cm) instead of the longer one (8cm) and they fit quite a little bit better, using the longer ones has lots of excess and I needed to trim the blue stiffener portion in order to get the desired bend of the flex to fit it in the shell.
