Hello, just wondering if anyone found an exact replacement for the LCD screen to bring it up to or near the quality of the PSP screen.
-
I'm not sure it'd be possible to find an "exact replacement", but it might be possible to dig up something "close enough" if you're skilled enough to wire a new one in.

I heard someone (Dean?) got one of those all-in-one PSOne screens to work with the TE/GT hardware.
Obviously that screen wouldn't fit in a TE/GT though so you'd have to transplant to some kind of custom casing.

Yeah D-Lite did get a PSOne monitor to work. It would be even better if he could get a DS-Lite (no pun intended) top screen to work inside the TE. :-k :)

Isn't the resolution on a DS top screen a little low for the PCE?

Yes. But then again, the original screens are smaller than the native resolution. The screen on the DS display is 256x192 pixels, which will work for most games on the X but not on the Y.

Do schematics exist for the TE? I would like to know what each connection is between the main board and the screen, it may lead to finding a suitable replacement.
