Title: Amp for RGB on the duo
Post by: Duo_R on September 01, 2008, 06:55:44 AM
Can someone explain a few details on this diagram for me? I am not 100% clear what is needed before I build. First let me make sure I got the parts right:

* 10ohm resistors X13
* 2sc1815  X4 (any known substitutions?)
* 300 ohm resistor X1
* 75 ohm resistor X4
* 10uf 16V capacitor X6
* 220uf 16V capacitor X4

1) Did I capture the part list?
2) What are the components on the diagram that look like:  777 for each amp?
3) Is that something for the audio on the bottom???
4) how much does this cost to build?

Thanks for your help!

I was hoping to write a guide at the weekend giving details on a much simpler Amp, but found my PCE doesn't recognise any games.

When I get another I will write a guide with diagrams, photos etc.  But in the meantime have a look at this document which I stumbled across the other day - http://pages.interlog.com/~daves/pce_info/rgbpce.txt

It just needs 3 transistors (and has info on a couple of alternatives), that's it - no other components.

Any idea what the replacement would be these days at local radio shack? I noticed the comment that not using a transistor could damage the Hu6260. Is that true? I got a perfect image on my PS1 screen without using any caps, transistors.

I've been reading a lot of info about the amp recently, but never hard of anyone damaging the hu6260 by not using a transistor.

it was speculation I am sure, from a very old post on the turbolist....
