...or as I like to call it "Gamesquad the 2nd". It'll live up to the name seeing as he's asking $200 for Ys 1 and 2 (game, manual, and case only) and other ridiculous price.

But "Pompous" has a better ring to it.  :D

What's frustrating is that his shipping costs are very reasonable ($4 for 1st game, $1 for each additional). I guess if they don't poke you on shipping, they poke you on the BIN price. Even NES/SNES titles suffer this problem on eBay.

It's been especially aggravating since I gave up on buying small lots to just get the 1-2 games I really wanted, then selling off the rest. Now I have a list of about 15 NES/SNES titles that I need, only a few are semi-rare, yet the price +shipping for A SINGLE CART on eBay makes it not worthwhile.

Maybe I should just stop being lazy and post a REQ list.  :D

$150 Samurai Ghost?  $130 unboxed Ys?  $10 TV Sports Football?  That's twice what Redfrog charges!

Scumbags list games for inflated prices all the time, why give them free advertising?   [-X

MotherGunner, you're not in cahoots with this guy are you?   :-s

Not at all, infact I gave no comments whatsoever.  Yes I fully agree those prices are crazy.

*whew*

Typical protocol for ebay-related posts is to immediately fly off the handle and declare the seller "the next Bullseye!"

You had me worried.

Such shitty prices!  Sadly, impatient dipshits will eventually snap up quite a few of his titles.

I prefer Dirty Cocksucker!  :)

I thought that name was reserved for the Gamesquad. ;)

Besides by calling every greedy overpricing "seller" that, we won't know how characteristically they suck.

Speaking of sucking, I asked Pompous why his prices are so high and was by two things in his answer:

1) He KNOWS we exist. I mean he know pcengine and here's the kicker: he wants ME to spread the good word to you guys.

2) He references a Gamesquad auction for the basis of his price.

There's a reason why Gamesquad's auctions stay up in a eBay for a long time. Hopefully it won't take Pompey too long to figure out why.

I really don't understand why Ys I & II is so high on eBay lately. It's on the Wii Virtual Console and there's a remake coming out on the DS in February. Let me see if I can find out how much I paid for mine.....

digs through old email.....ah, there we are.

I paid $67 for my copy back in 2006. This one is boxed and included the map.

Games that have come out on the Wii have increased in value, not decreased as originally thought they would. The reason is two-fold: first of all, Wii's emulation of the TG16 sucks. Second of all, there's something to be said about owning the original, so the value rose. I imagined it could go either way.
