I'm assuming the composers of GoT and LoT are different individuals, but if I recall the credits don't specify. For GoT I believe the music was attributed to Soundesign, or something, and I don't remember LoT. Anyone have a clue on this?
-
Syn Sound Design which is some guy named Chris or something like that. He has done some other, lesser stuff outside of the videogame realm.
I think the Lords of Thunder music was composed and performed by Tupac.
-
GoT has tunes by Nick Wood (Syn Sound Design) and LoT has tunes from T's Music.
-
In the credits for LoT it said "Groove King" for music composer. So did one guy at T's Music do the drums, bass, and guitar? I'm thinking no but you never know.
-
I was impressed by how much T's Music got around. They must have had a great working relationship with Hudson and friends. They continued into the Playstation and Saturn at least. Probably still around for all I know.
-
I think they did Super Monkeyball 1 and 2 for the Gamecube as well.
-
T's music is still around. http://www.tsmusic.co.jp/ The page is under a redesign I think. My japanese is a bit rusty and/or non existent. I also remember the now defunct/never really starting GameGo! magazine doing an interview with T's music. The main interview was all about LoT. It was in the first issue of GameGo magazine. I'll have to hook up my scanner and scan the interview for you guys. It was fairly interesting.

Please do. I went to the Syn website and learned about them, too. They aren't looking very far back. No GoT in their selective credits ; )

yeah..nick woods is great and it seems he's still lurching around in japan. would be great to meet up with him ones, to tell him what great and high appreciated work he did for one of the best shoot'em up on the best console ever made in the universe and probably beyond of it.

I can't believe they even THOUGHT of letting a non-Japanese individual work on one of their games... an important one, too! The Japanese are hyper-racist. Maybe Nick Wood is the Martin Luther King Jr of Japan?

Thanks for reminding me to post a thread I've been meaning to post :D . Check the chit chat area soon!

When I ripped Lord's Of Thunder's soundtrack to my computer, the online based CD information database or whatever says it's Satoshi Miyashita.

Click here, and then click "play now" to hear Satoshi play R-Type Special. Sounds sort of Joe Satriani with a beat!

Was this guy part of T's music?

I love that R-Type album. Fantastic arrangements on there.
