are there any other active forums for TG16/PCE users besides this one? i know about the one at pcecp but that doesn't seem used much.
also, does anyone know what's going on with TurboGrafx-16.com? that site looks like it's going to kick ass once it has more resources.

We opened a new forum a few days ago at Frozen Utopia. It's not very active just yet and it's more focused towards PCE development than anything but it's another forum regardless. :D As far as turbografx-16.com goes...I had emailed the webmaster with a correction to one of their little guides and never heard back from them, although the correction was indeed made (they had posted a "strategy guide" for The Addams Family...without even noticing that it was for an entirely different version altogether!).

There's the Turbo List if you don't mind mailing lists.

TG-16.com -- the webmaster is superbusy (he's done a bunch of sites, is in school, has a bunch of degrees, etc. etc.)... once he gets some free time, I'm sure he'll add more stuff.
www.magicengine.com (http://www.magicengine.com/) is the best bet for TG16 forums (outside of these boards, of course). lots of folks from these boards post there as well... BUT magicengine gets a broader, more international demographic (some folks from france, though they aren't posting as frequently as they used to).
Unfortunately, there is a lot of emu / burning / iso stuff (often newbies complaining about how their sloppy iso burns don't work on the emulator). otherwise, it's an excellent place.
the gamefaqs boards.. I haven't been there in ages, but I've only noticed activity in sporadic spurts. sometimes tg16 discussions were interesting, but gamefaqs doesn't attract many tg16 fans to stick around. we should advertise these boards at gamefaqs, just to send interested folks over here.
there are some other fine retrogaming boards, but tg16 only appears briefly in the discussions.

Man the gamefaqs boards are dead since you and jack stopped posting. It would probably suck now with all the GS users anyway, those guys really brought the intelligence level of gamefaqs down to where it's not even fun to read the boards for anything anymore.

ahhh, that sucks. There must be at least a FEW more folks out there who would like to talk about TG16!
I forgot to mention to vestcoat: while not a forum, the TurboList is a great resource. Sometimes it's dead for weeks, then it will be busy briefly. In general, an excellent source of info, especially if you have a specific question that can't be answered elsewhere. subscribe here http://joyce.eng.yale.edu/~bt/turbo/
be sure to read the FAQ when you join, you can only send a message to the list from certain types of email accounts. receiving messages isn't a problem, though.

Well, I hate to toot my own horn (and revive an old post), but you DID ask.
http://www.turbo2k.net (http://www.turbo2k.net/)
'tis another place with forums.

Turbo2k is a pretty cool site, but I don't think I've ever posted on the boards. I know I've read them a few times.
There used to be this Turbo Grafx 16 Yahoo! group that I found on Google once which seemed to be pretty cool, but appereantly it died.
-
The GameFaqs Turbo and PC-FX boards are garbage. Occassionally there are some decent Turbo conversations, but the PC-FX section is filled with stooges asking questions about their PC graphics cards and how to make their Sims have sex.
Oh, and we occassionally have Turbo conversations going at my forums (www.teamfremont.com/forums (http://www.teamfremont.com/forums)), but I'm generally the only one who keeps them going. I've found that this place is the best for good NEC talk, so I usually refer people to just come here. I consider myself a huge Turbo fan, yet I've learned more about the Turbo systems than I knew existed by reading posts from you guys.

Yeah, there were 2 yahoo groups that seemed semi-active last year: turbo train 16 and another one (nec avenue or tg network). The conversations were sporadic, but occasionally something useful would emerge. overall, though, there were only 1-2 regulars trying to keep things going.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the TG Network was the one I was thinking of. I found it last year and it's Yahoo! group was dead, but they had a new message board and I signed up and made a few posts. It was pretty decent actually, but I don't know the address anymore.

And it seems that ParanoiaDragon was one of the folks who posted on one of these boards!

Thanks for the links, I am going to start posting on the Turbo Grafx Network.

I'm the moderator of the TG Network.
I've been trying to get things rolling again but am still short on free time.
However, a lot of the former regulars still receive messages by e-mail and join in when discussions come up.
It's also full of useful Turbo links and I try to update the Files section regularly with videos, mp3's and such.
Please feel free to come by and post anytime. I try to always respond to every post which usually draws a back a couple former regulars to respond(hence the sporatic discussions).
So its slowly coming back to life...

Kool, I'll certainly start visiting once again.
