Title: Another PCE Project Dies
Post by: sunteam_paul on May 11, 2010, 08:44:55 AM
Alas, along with my previous effort, the PC Engine Quiz game, my latest project - a Space Harrier clone with a PCE theme now has also died due to the programmer bailing because of real life commitments and general apathy. I have since vowed never to trust another programmer again :P
I thought I'd post a few images here to show how I was getting on with the project. I'll probably do a more comprehensive section on my Sunteam site at a later date.
These are some examples of how I was redrawing the sprites in a higher resolution.

You graphics are awesome. What language and system were you targeting?
Here is a Keith Courage, sort of clone, I started a while ago.
First part is just a generic sprite, at about 45 seconds it goes to the Keith Sprite & Lava level. C++ & SDL

It was being done in Game Maker for PC. The initial builds were quite promising, with the ground lines looking bang on and the horizon shifting just like the arcade.
