Title: sorry but stupid question here
Post by: Rockabilly Paradise on July 05, 2010, 10:05:11 AM
i have a pc engine duo-rx and a duo tap... a friend of mine recently gave me a bunch of regular us turbografx-16 controllers. is there a converter that will let you use them on the duo or the duo tap? i noticed it (the tg-16 end) looks like an old computer keyboard connector, possibly a converter for one of those will work?

There is an official TG-16 adapter but they are sometimes expensive and/or hard to find. Your best bet is to get a Reverse Tap (or have your Tap modded to become a Reverse Tap). Otherwise, you would need to mod each controller to fit into the Duo Tap.

just make some DIN to Mini-Din adapters.

youd need a female 8 pin DIN and male 8 pin mini-din

just wire the respective pins together and voila!

I know theres a diagram for this sort of thing, but I don't have it off hand and I am about to go to sleep!  Someone will cover for me.

There is the female DIN.  I had a mini din link but lost it I guess.  I will try to find it in the morning if noone else does it for me.
