Ok so maybe its not that scary... its actually kind of cool!

Anyways, to be raffled off on Halloween.. a Turbo Express Turbo Vision!

The unit is a little bit cracked by the antenna, but it does work ok.  Its great at picking up snow and local preachers!

Not really sure why actually...

Apparently its because digital signals take up less of the airspace bandwidth thereby allowing for more room for other broadcast uses.

I don't know how possible those ideas are, but i bet you could turn this into a radio pretty easily.

I always wanted a TG express & vision when they came out but could never afford them back then.  Wasn't the retail price on the vision alone like $150?  I got an express years after, but never did get a vision.

So the vision has an aux video input?

Super cool of you to do freebie raffles!  Could I possibly get in on the list?

So the vision has an aux video input?

It has a headphones type port that is labeled A/V input.  I've heard of people using it.  Check out henry's poster where he has the "Drac X special huey"  its a Duo RX connected to the TV tuner on a TE in order to show the game on the TE screen.

Yes, the AV Input is a miniplug just like a headphone jack.

What you need is an RCA to Miniplug adapter, like this for instance:
http://www.amazon.com/3-5mm-Mini-Plug-Computer-Stereo/dp/B000FEHO0U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1288230347&sr=8-2
Plus you need (2) Male to Male adapters for the RCA connection unless your RCA2Mini has female RCA inputs.

Hook one color to the video port and the other color to one of the audio ports on a RCA - out setup.  You will get mono sound, you could probably use and RCA Y connector to the audio side and maybe even get stereo

Makes the Express/GT a full audio/video monitor for your Duo/TGCD/CoreGrafx/etc...

And yes, you can use the Turbo Vision with a GT, and a GT Tuner with a Turbo Express!

Here is the SKEEEEERY setup  (DracXSpecialHuey):

Note for the pic, I used the GT Tuner with the Turbo Express to prove that it works.

Of course, this setup works for any NTSC source with RCA out.

Thanks adding me to the list and for the info on the a/v input of the turbo vision.  Learned something new everyday.  That's a cool set up in the pic.

I think I have one of those cables laying around.  Just may have to buy a turbo vision(if I don't win) so I can try out a similar setup.

To get some use out of your TurbobVisions, check wikipedia for your state's list of television stations, including low power (LPTV) stations.  There's still a few analog stations alive, though you'll have to be close to the transmitter and want to watch religious nutjob programming.

Alternatively - get a wireless modulator, hook it up to a porn filled dvd player, and you can jerk off all over the house.... or at least until it starts to chafe or the AAs run out.

I do believe that the Virtual Cushion would be the perfect companion for your evening.
