It's not that often that I try and get high socres on platformers but this one is so addictive I couldn't resist.
Show your scores made with only one credit.

Finally, a high score competition that I can compete in! I used to play Bubble Bobble and Parasol Stars every day just to see how high of a score I could get in each game (since I could finish both of them without continuing).

Wow, I suck at that game. Could never beat it, even with continues. Any advice for me so I can give it another go?

1) Memorize the locations where power-ups appear.
2) Always try to get 3 elemental tokens that match so you can gain access to the treasure rooms at the end of each planet. If you make 2 large bubbles of an elemental type, the next stage will give you that elemental token.
3) Gather 5 elemental bubbles on your Parasol to eliminate larger enemies with ease.
4) Find a second player to help you.

I beat the game 5 or 6 years ago playing with my wife. I've never beaten it solo, however.

I don't think I've ever beaten Parasol Stars without skipping stages or some other shenanigans.
I am curious about the "Real Ending" alluded to in the other thread.
Anyway, I love this goddamn game and I should play it, NOW.

If you want to get the True Ending then you need to get a "Miracle" of 3 Star Elemental Tokens to gain access to the Treasure Room that contains the key to "Secret Road".

You can't. The best thing you can get is the rainbow necklace that will award 99 continues. Then, you have to beat the 8th boss having 3 stars to get the key the last 2 worlds.

Well, I beat this game back in the day, but I don't think I got the special ending.
That sounds perverted, by the way. "Special Ending", indeed.

If the last boss you met was the big dragon, then you didn't really clear the game ;)
You must have seen a door that you couldn't get through : it's the door that leads to the last 2 worlds.

I beat the game with a score of 13,018,800 and I had 10 lives left and 99 credits (which are supposed to be worth a million points each). I think they max out with a 100 million points for a bonus since my score should have been 122,018,800

WHATTTTTTT? for gods sake fire this up and get her a turbo pad in her hands. It was one of my favorite games as a kid! I still remember when me and my brother actually beat it one day after hooking up the old TG-16 for the first time in a few years!
