:-k You know about those adapters that let you plug in a PlayStation controller to your PC-E or TG16? Well I was wondering if anyone had tried this with a good modern PlayStation arcade style joystick? It seems like you can get a good playstation joystick at a decent price. Does anyone know what buttons on the playstation controller does which NEC command. I wouldn't want to set this up if the buttons were all kind of backwards. Anyone tried this with a Sony compatible arcade style joystick?? :?:

I have one of the adapters but I haven't tried it with a joystick. IIRC the buttons follow a logical sequence on a PS pad.
It's worth noting that these adapters are also a good way to use a quality wireless pad on a NEC console.
Finally, there's a bunch of adapters on ebay right now, the first I've seen them anywhere in a couple years.

I just saw a pic of the adapter manual. I don't think a sony arcade joystick will work. :x Usually the joystick on a PlayStation is from the analog stick on the PlayStation controller instead of the Dpad. There is nothing in the adapter that lets you use the sony analog stick so using a sony arcade stick with the adapter would be useless. Can anyone with this adapter double check for me??? Is a sony arcade joystick signal from the Dpad or the analog stick on a regular controller?
