Title: White PC engine weight?
Post by: SaturdayMorningRobots on April 04, 2011, 03:18:25 AM
Does anyone know how much a white PCE, it's controller and Adapter weigh? Also off hand does anyone have a clue what an OG famicom weighs? Thanks a lot.

I can guess.  The pad is next to nothing, the adaptor is about the same as the PCE, a little heavier..  So I reckon ~800g total as a rough guess.

A SNES is about the same I'd say.

This site reckons the SNES is 5.5lbs...

I think 800 grams is a pretty low estimate. I just weighed my Duo Power supply and it was more than 500 (the scale only goes up to 500 grams)

you're right.  Just picked up a bag of flour (1 kg) and:
Core grafx - lighter
box and psu - heavier.

Both by about the same amount.  So a revised guess of 2kg.

I should point out that I was thinking about a small bag of sugar earlier, and I guessed the sugar at 500g.

Yeah that would be my guess too though I've never actually held a PCE. Thanks. I estimated as 3 to be safe. This is gonna be one expensive package. :)
