As much as some people on this forum hate it, "Turrican" doesn't automatically go back to the title screen when you press Run+Select... you have to hold it for 3 seconds and *then* it resets.

That's actually a great idea, I wish this was the case with all Turbo games. I've so often hit RUN+SELECT by accident when meaning to press just RUN or SELECT, it's not even funny.

As for Bonk 3's missing frames, I'm with Bonknuts. I have to believe they could have squeezed it in there. It's just... TTi did the CD, not Hudson, and we all know TTi's track record. I therefor stand by my original statement... Chalk up another point for TTi!

To all homebrew makers, you should have start+select do something completely random and useless...  just because its in the software and not the bios and you can!

You know whats weird?  Well maybe not weird, but I actually dont even use the BIG sized Bonk in the game.  Does it even have a purpose?  I know the small size Bonk has to be used in certain places, but the big one seems to just be added for the hell of it.  Kinda like the big world in Super Mario 3.  I believe it was world 4 if I am not mistaken.

Anyhow, thanks for some insight on why the game may or may not reset back to the bios.  I wanted to make sure there wasn't anything wrong on my end.  Kinda figured there wasn't since it was the only CD game I have ever had do it on my system.

Mednafen emulator has an option that lets you block RUN+SELECT being pressed together. You could also modify a controller with a switch and off the shell logic/IC as well. If the switch is on, it blocks SELECT from being acknowledged if RUN is being held (or pressed at the same time). A single 7402 quad NOR input chip should do the trick. And if the switch is off (or rather input A instead of input B), then run and select behave normally.
