Wanting to figure out what next 10 TG16 hucards to buy next.

Ok for some reason I crave TG-16 Hucards more than CDs. I want to hear hucard sound channel music damnit. Tired of getting nothing but CDs. What would be a damn good top 10 US games to start with atleast?

Also would appreciate it if you post seperate what japanese games that would be good on the side.

So far I got Cadash, Final Lap Twin and Keiths courage. For CD I got some hucard clones, Bonks Adventure and Revenge, also bomberman all in the 4 in 1 disc.

There is a thread (or three!) about this. But quickly:

Bloody Wolf
Neutopia I & II
Military Madness
Blazing Lazers, Soldier Blade, Super Star Soldier, Raiden (shooters)
Legendary Axe I & II
Splatterhouse

I'll let others fill in the gaps :)

Yeah i try using the search and it usually gives me either no results or too many. So I got tired of trying it.

Anyway, so far Final Lap Twin is my favorite game, next would be cadash out of the 3 hucards I have. I did play some hucard roms on the emulators but I just don't remember what they were like and really don't care to play them that way anyways. I am basically just looking for games that are plain out fun or you get your moneys worth. I think I am going to get a copy of Shockman and Legendary Axe so far to start with, found some good deals on those.

As tricky as they can be to find at all these days, I say buy the next 10 you come across.

Go for Devil's Crush (pinball), Tricky Kick (puzzle), Dragon's Curse (adventure/RPG), Galaga 90, and Aero Blasters. I highly recommend Devil's Crush, Im not crazy about pinball but this game is just plain addictive.

Man you guys pretty much said all of my choices! If you are looking for a decent horizontal shooter, try getting Psychosis. No one seems to talk about this game much and hell, it's a pretty good game. Some other decent games I can think of while looking through my collection:

Ninja Spirit - Fantastic ninja platform game!

J.J. and Jeff - Underrated platform game. Great fun and great laughs!

Dragon Spirit - A classic vertical shooter that's has some unique features for it's time and an excellent soundtrack. If you are wanting to hear some good HuCard music, this has some of the best!

Jackie Chan Action Kung Fu - Very fun, very cute, very silly platform game where you take the role of a cartoon version of Jackie Chan. It has some cool features that other platform games didn't really have back then. This game can be a bit hard to find though and a little pricey.

Dungeon Explorer (I can't believe no one mentioned this one yet :? )- Excellent five-player Gauntlet-style game, except more adventerous and better in my opinion. This game is awesome on one player alone if you ask me. And also, this game has some of the best HuCard tunes as well. Sometimes you won't even believe the quality of some tunes and it's composed so well too!

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

It would have been lame if I had listed all the good games in one post!

I really like Chew Man Fu (action puzzle game)... it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I like it. I stick this title in the "underappreciated" category.

I warn you -- Shockman has some really shoddy controls. That's not to say you can't have fun with the game... but I consider this game to be crippled by the controls and poor hit detection.

Good point.

Chew Man Fu rules! The Kick Ball mode is pretty fun as well and I love the song in it.

Shockman is okay. The controls aren't really good as Steve said, but it's a cool concept and not really a bad game. I kind of like the first one for PCE better, but we all know the third one for PCE CD is the best by far :D .

Cool, some titles I wasn't too aware of have been mentioned. Yeah i just remember Shockman in an old Gamepro in 1992 that caught my attention in a preview. I definitely like action platform games the most on the TG 16. I do hear that Dragons Curse is the best Wonderboy game out there. Also I hear a lot about Ninja Spirit being a good port of the arcade. J.J. and Jeff was one of the main games mentioned at the turbo list review of the system as well.

Nutopia II if you can find a U.S copy :(
Super Star Soldier
Legend of Hero Toma again U.S copy hard to come by.
Splatter House sure it's not perfect like the "FM Town Marty" Port but it's decent at least.

Heck that's all i can think for the moment.
