They actually have redemption? Lame.

Galloping Ghost claims (according to their website) to have over 300 video games. This doesn't include pinball, which they have some, but not a lot, of.

Galloping Ghost Arcade is awesome! Best arcade I've ever visited, past or present. They have so many retro arcade games to play, it's great. Other than the fact that a few of the cab monitors have LCD displays instead of CRT, I don't have many complaints about the place. I am so glad I live only 7 miles away from that place. :)
SignofZeta: What a quintessentially PCEFX thread. Someone complains about nothing, multiple Bible-length posts discussing who's a bigger a$$hole follow. You're both pretty big a$$holes. Let's call it a tie.

I wish Rusty Quarters all the best of luck in their endeavor. Arcade centers are notorious when it comes to low revenues and frequent vandalism. It would be sheer luck for them to even be in business longer than a year. If Rusty can hold out, I'll be pleased.

Sorry, but I don't see your library card on the books of Ys.  Now, RETURN THEM TO ME!!!

Yeah.  I can't imagine trying to survive on games that play for a quarter.
On the plus side, they have an excellent location in a popular neighborhood, right next to two coffee shops and a retro bar/theater/restaurant/bowling alley that does very well.

They've also made an excellent web presence for themselves.  Frequent updates on the local music bulletin board created a lot of buzz and helped them generate over 300 recommendations to the city zoning board before they even opened.

Seems a mite to bright to me LOL
Agreed i could have sworn arcades were dimly lit
Holy crap, dim those lights!
I told them as much and they took the 100-watt bulbs down to 60's!

Time to move to Minneapolis.  Where is that at?   Isn't that in Fargo-land.

I once thought, "man, itd be cool to open an arcade"

and my friend pointed out "Dude, one toolbag would put a cigarette out on your Tron cabinet and you'd be arrested for murder"

and I went "oh, yeah.  Damn."

Man, I wish this was a bit closer. I love goin to arcades. It's good to see at least couple doin well.

That Lunacity arcade was really nice and sux what happened to it (him).  I have a place in Mid-Michigan that has an older barn. It's about 3000 sq. ft. In the next couple (10 lol) years I'm renovating that bitch.

....and building my own big ass arcade. It's gonna be awesome.
Nothin beats the real thing.

Nice :@)

I noticed the other day that the local arcade where I had used to go when I was at school has closed :-(  It halved in size around 15 years ago and pretty much went to slots only about 5 yeast ago.

Space Invaders in Cleveland went from being an epic hang out, to a pathetic DDR/Pool House called Play to Win Cafe

they do have a Raiden cabinet though.  Or they did 3 months ago.  It's probably gone now.
