Its getting to the point where I'll go into a Goodwill and they're charging ebay prices for stuff. $30 for an NES game at goodwill? wtf

The goodwills around me seem to have nothing when I check them out.  A taped up genesis would be quite the find (though still just as dissapointing).

There's a retro shop near me with a pretty decent selection, but their prices are all over the place.  Minimum $5 for any NES game, min $6 for SNES, they even got Turbobs and stuff but those seem to be a bit under the radar.  I got Jack Nicklaus for Turbo CD there for like $10 for my Secret Santa, I think that's a good deal though since I couldn't find it on eBay and SS was like 2 weeks away.

The Goodwills in my area pull this garbage too. Anything that they think will bring big money goes into a display case up front and you're told "Oh! That's not for sale! It's for the *auction*!"

They take stash this stuff in the back and keep it there while they cart all of the other random junk out to the sales floor.
Sometimes they make mistakes though and put stuff out that they have no idea what it really is and that's when I snap something up and walk out of the store snickering to myself!

at least the money raked in goes to charity... so the stupidity of others benefits the poor.
