there is salamander too but that might be a little frustrating due to the high difficulty department..

I'll throw in another vote for Bubble Bobble III/Parasol Stars. Back in the day my (ex-)wife and I played all the way through this thing. It gets extra points for actually being Bubble Bobble III, and anyone of our age group that had an NES as a kid (women included) pretty much knows about Bubble Bobble.
