Genpei Toumaden
« on: March 16, 2012, 04:50:01 AM »
I've been trying to get through this one for the longest time. Unfortunately, I ended up in a level with the huge pole wielding boss and the smaller one who jumps over you with the floating spike balls floating around. After I continue here I get sent back to that overhead maze level.

My question, since I couldn't find a walkthrough or any longplay video etc. is, is there something I'm missing, does it want me to go through a different gate there ? And how do you get through that boss level exactly ?

Sorry if my first post upon return is further nagging you good folks, but I've suffered getting past that stupid dragon thing on all three paths and I'm still stuck.

I have never understood Genpei Toumaden. :-k It is such a weird game, and very hard too. I have only played the rom, but a few times. I would play it and be like "What the heck is this shit?" 8-[ Also, I heard that you have to find the 3 imperial regalia of Japan if you want to beat the final boss. Though, they are in random levels of the game.

Here is a review of the game by the Brothers Duomazov. It tells you where the 3 regalia is, if you are wondering :mrgreen:http://www.thebrothersduomazov.com/2009/10/genpei-toumaden.html

P.S. I really like the sequel Samurai Ghost though. It is a fantastic game that pushes ALL of the PC Engine's capabilities.. Too bad I only have it on the Wii.
