The Return of Brock Lesnar (04/02/12)
« on: April 03, 2012, 09:53:15 AM »
Not sure how many people here are into Professional wrestling, but those that are into it, check this out. WWE has become more and more poor as a promotion over the last five years specifically. I stopped watching it all together in 2010 and haven't looked back. With the return of The Rock last year, I was a little curious, but really wasn't the hottest on it. With WWE pulling in some of the older stars they had from their earlier roster of the late 90's, it appears that things just might start picking up a bit. Would be nice for some of these guys to show the younger, very inexperienced wrestlers, a thing or two about the ropes. Anyway, enough of the rant. Brock Lesnars return last night to WWE RAW was the first time in YEARS I felt like a total mark for WWE programming. The day after Wrestlemania always has a "Big Return", so this year, they really put it over. Check the footage and watch John Cena get owned again, just one night after losing his Wrestlemania match against The Great One.

I thought it was a much needed welcometo the roster (if only for a year) Hope these young wrestlers can learn a thing or 2 from what fans want and expect from them. Or they will cry about how Brock is taking a spot from them instead of embracing the added fans and try to keep those fans after Brock leaves.

Well, if things go okay for Brock, he may not even leave. Not like he's going back to the UFC. Point is, this is a trial to see if Brock can handle it this time. Rocky start to the career, but could end well.

The reason Brock left in the first place was the WWEs hectic schedule. Brock will be on about 2 shows a month not counting PPVs. Don't forget also Brock has health issues that he's dealing with and I wonder how much Dana White is getting for letting Brock go to WWE while he's still under contract with the UFC

Actually I was pretty sure his UFC/Dana White contract expired.  He's free to go wherever he wants.  I'd bet he's on a lighter schedule a la HBK/Rock/(Every TNA Wrestler) from now on to prevent possible burning out.

I agree that this was a pretty cool move on WWEs part to try to bring something original to the product.  It hasn't been the same in a long time, and it feels like every time they start to get a really great thing going (CM Punk's contract storyline or the Nexus angle) the ruin it with just too much in-your-face bad storylines....

For what it's worth, I actually have liked TNA/Impact Wrestling's youth movement lately with all TNA originals with championships right now.  It's kind of the fresh looking pro-wrestling I enjoy.

Here we go, just when WWE got me somewhat interested again they have to go and do something stupid, as usual. The Three Stooges are special guests this Monday on RAW.  ](*,)  Someone really needs to drop Vince McMahon out of the top window  of the WWE building. It's crap like this that makes the older fans roll their eyes and not want to watch WWE.

This kind of thing is exactly why I have not regularly watched that show in ages. The last one I saw was when Snooki was their guest for the night... but before that, I hadn't watched in like 2 years.

And most likely won't see Brock back for a while to explain his actions.  Well, maybe if we're lucky he'll tape something via satellite....

Back when things were more normal, and less non-heterosexual, house wives would stay home, and watch the WWF. I remember my mother  praising the wrestlers. Who else would have the time to watch this stuff?

Me and my cousin ( mostly my cousin ) would watch WWF where Hulk Hogan ( Hollywood Hulk ), and The UnderTaker would go at it on weekends. We would mimic his their moves, and have our own wrestling matches, which usually left one of us crying or in pain.

Fast Foward. Everybody complaining about "how fake it is" to "ultimate fighting is better" people started to be skeptical of the WWF. Sometime during the days of mortal kombat, they had a martial arts show that would mimic the WWF, where they would have a dojo, and everything.
Mostly a drama but they would have matches as well.

You know what I hate about the rock? If I worked out, I would kinda look like the rock. Alot of women nowadays, ( especially the aging cows ) are looking for guys who looks like the rock. The rock unlike Hulk Hogan was a cross breed between Westernized man and city street gang member.
You can hear his texan stylized voice come out, I hate when they cross him with a bull. It is easy to see the rock taking the place of the Kernal.
Dooooo youu smeeellll what the KFC is cooking?

The flat fact is the WWF fans were pretty much the people of this age.
I mean you had the children and their wanna be's fathers, and vietnam uncles in the crowds. That is it. Those 1980's folks all are in dispair right now. We grewed up and most of us fans are not in the best of shape, financially and soically. Right now people are hurting really, really, really bad, in various areas.

It is not because of the Bush II at all, it is because everybody invested in computers which changed demand and supply. However truthfully most supply was never recycled or used to begin with. Like one day I saw like more then thirty new VHS recordable tapes out in the gutter.

If their was an online videogame right now, that people could play in 2d or 3d it would be nice. Nobody gives a jack about the new systems, I mean nobody. Their is alot of people out their who needs work. You see the protests, those are WWF fans too. WWF rock, should go down to these protest and start dancing around and take a pepper spray to the face as well. Jessie Ventura would be auwsome right now, to bring out voters.

Look at Otherwise forget it. Right now we have evil concepts like "to live is to kill" or "outside the ring, their is only the rules of god", or "you do the crime, you do the time" or "in the jungle their are no rules" and that is about it.
