How many children are in your collection?
4 boys, 1 girl.  Five in total.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

TurboGrafx/PC Engine systems and games, Neo-Geo MVS carts, and the occasional Transformers figure if I have a large desire for it. Also have a small collection of Ultima games that I couldn't part with if I had too.

Used to have 500+ TFs, but sold a good majority of them though as finance, family, and space constraints makes it very hard to keep up a large collection. Most of my figures are rotting away in tupperware totes now due to lack of display room. I personally feel that if you can't display your collection, (as in see, touch, show to others) what's the point of having them. Seems like a waste to me. Used some of the cash from sold figures to increase my Turbo/PCE game collection which is sitting pretty on a CD/DVD shelf for all my world to see.  The wife just gives me the  look when I stand staring and drooling at my games.

Yup, I hear ya.  Let's see, the TF's I have boxed up are the entire Beast Wars collection, entire Beast Machines, entire Robots in Disguise(RID, including the Korean release of Fortess Maximus), entire Armada colletion, & basically every minicon & mini figure in general from the various Classics/Generations/etc. series.

What I do have out, is the entire Beast Wars Neo, Animated, Generations/Classics(deluxe sized & up, let's call it G1 2.0), Engergon, Cybertron, first movie, die cast War Within stuff, most of Robot Heroes, all of Alternators(minus Rumble, & the 2nd Ravage), Masterpiece(including Megs, but no repaints), all the G1 re-issues including some Jp only stuff like Sixshot, & tons of various Universe, Beast Wars 2nd, Machine Wars, Beast Wars (the new molds & the re-issues), along with Unicron & Primus battling it out.

Hahhahahahaha.

I don't "collect"; I prefer to think of it as my library (actively used).

I have a massive music library with vinyl, CD's and cassettes. Yes, cassettes. I have a lot of unique stuff on cassette, so I can't just throw them away, even if they are the least likely to survive (they have been stored in some pretty humid locations, sadly, and far more fragile than they were 20 years ago).

I used to have 8-tracks (ha!) because my first car had an 8-track player (and I subsequently grabbed home stereo components, but the hardware broke frequently and was noisy. It was definitely fun as a novelty... but not too reliable.

I have NES, Famicom, SMS, Genesis, SegaCD, Saturn, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Wii, PS2, XBOX, SNES, 3DO, 2600, Gameboy, Lynx, GameGear, GBA...

I used to have old computer stuff (Apple II, C64, PC DOS) but the disks and drives were getting finicky and I didn't have room to use them.

I love to read and have tons of books. All sorts. I have a tons of magazines, too, but, sadly, I have donated/lost a lot of stuff over the years (a nearly complete collection of 1980-1989 BYTE from my dad...which I re-read in the early 90's and then tossed.)

I love movies, but, thankfully, I (mostly) stopped buying DVD's many years ago. I have tons of hard-to-find stuff on VHS that I gotta let go of, but I keep convincing myself that I'll make a transfer to digital...and then I'll realize that this is a foolish endeavor. I don't have many LaserDiscs (they are a novelty for me)...
