Ah, cool. You know, I used to think he was THE guy that made the awesomeness of the Ys soundtracks what they are, but it was Ryo Yonemitsu arrangements of his compositions that set those soundtracks apart and made gaming history. Listening to Yuzo's work on Ys by itself, there's nothing memorable about it; the Ys soundtracks that we know and love is thanks to Hudson getting Ryo on the job (of course Falcom and the JDK band as well). Anyway, I like Yuzo's work on ActRaiser, those were great games for the SNES. I think I still own the first or 2nd one, not sure.
Honestly though I don't think Yuzo was to thrilled with his Ys music. He never ever talks about it. No idea why.
Yeah, I think there are hard feelings there. I don't think he left Falcom on good terms (that right?) and since a lot of the tracks that became so famous are off his compositions and no royalties and what not. Well, I picked up this rumor somewhere, so don't quote me on it.
