Color choice for mid-late TG-16 games?
« on: October 11, 2012, 03:18:58 PM »

So, I couldn't find a topic by searching for this -

Was there any relevance to the choice of colors they used for the top of cases? I can't seem to figure out any rhyme or reason to how the cases were colored. It's sort of bothered me, in an OCD sense.
Hey, you.

Yes, sort of. I'd call it vague guidelines. The best I can tell you is that all orange are early TG16 releases and all yellow (Fighting Street and Monster Lair) are early TGCD releases. Supposedly the newer tab style coloring relates to genre but I wouldn't trust it.

Yeah, the Tabs are what I'm referring to. I can't figure those out.

The Sports titles are probably most accurate with the lime green tab, but then Bonk is green and Ninja Spirit to confuse things.  ](*,)  They are a different shade of green though.  It's just hard to tell them apart sometimes due to colour fading over the years.  #-o
