If only this wasn't in america... The import fees would kill me if I tried to import one of these.

I've been all over Houston, and the surrounding areas, trying to track down a Plastics Engineer/CAD Designer.
Finally found one a few days back, but I have to wait for him to finish another project, before he can work with me.

I used to do some of that work.  Mostly I was on the moldmaking side, but after running cnc and edm for a while I ended up doing a lot of 3d design and modelling as part of writing tool paths and cutting electrodes.  Never got into serious mold design but by the time I left in 2007 I was starting to get into the design side of the operation.  I dont know what the popular software of today is but I used Missler TopSolid and SolidWorks 2005 for design and Cimatron for CNC.

Anywho, nice price on some refurb'd briefcases.  Another one Bernie?  Didnt you just get one?

The most mentioned software for product and mold design, from the people I spoke to, was Solid Works.

By the way, Keith, you can go ahead and mod mine last.
I can pay now (just pm or e-mail me the total, and preferred payment method),
it's just that last weekend a buyer ordered over 300 GBA Cardboard Insert Trays from me, exhausting my supply, and then some.
I'm going to have to spend the next week or two making more (a large part of making them requires me to do so by hand), and will probably also need about a week to rest/recover.  :P

From what I could tell, SolidWorks is a lot easier to design from scratch.  TopSolid was way more powerful but also much more difficult to learn to use.
