Yeah yeah, I know I was saying in the other thread that I would use Ys Book 1 for this week. But then I remembered that Bomberman was the game I was going to submit way back when this thing was starting. Not to mention, it's a bit lame to use only half of a game. I'm thinking that when this GOTW thing is winding down and everybody is at a loss for what to choose - that will be the time to have a double-week finale with both Ys books.

So, Bomberman! Play it on the Gate of Thunder 3-in-1 disc if you don't have the HuCARD. This game is addictive as hell. Once you play the first few stages and get powered up, you won't be able to put it down until you die, at the very least.

And can anyone play this without tapping their feet? I can't.

Rules:
-All members are allowed one submission. When there are no further submissions, we will have a reset and everyone will be able to submit another game.
-Each game may only be submitted once.
-If you wish to retract your submission, please do so at least two weeks before your game is due. Your next submission will go to the back of the cue.
-Please don't submit games that have a high language barrier or will take too long to complete (particularly RPGs).
-Please don't submit games that are too expensive. Below $50 is best. Above $100 won't work.

I will always love this game.  I personally enjoy it more than the others in the series when playing 1 player.  It's probably more likely nostalgia, but I love the music and can easily veg out while playing this.  Not that this is a game for score since you can bomb the exit and kill stuff for mad points, but I did start a high score thread for this game.

Lately this has been the game of the week every week at the Paddy residence.  My two foster kids have taken a liking to it.  Basically every Saturday morning you can count on there being some serious bomber-craziness going on at my house.

I just tried typing in "Bommaman" and autocorrect changed it to:

"No mamas!"

This is such a great game.

Made it to 7-8 without dieing, died a few times on the boss.

then had some trouble on level 8, made it to 8-5 before hitting my first continue.


..now to see if i can take it down with the supplied continues 

edit: nope made it to 8.7 ..those damn gold coins kept getting me as I was starting out a stage.  serenity now

Dang!  I only made halfway through 3 before calling it a day this morning! Granted, I haven't played the original Bomberman in ages, but that shouldn't be an excuse!
