Bluebmw and I have had some great buys/trades. The guy gave me a complete US Godzilla.. He is the TG Santa Claus around these parts and gives the warmest hugs :P
I agree.  The guy gave me a SNES w/ Super Mario World included for the cost of shipping.

IIRC, Blue was also quite generous with the items he sent me for Bernies auction last year.

I can't think of any "extreme" obey deals (other than what I've gotten from forum members here) but I recently found a loose Earthbound cart for $8 and boxed (complete) Chrono Trigger for $5. Sadly, I now live about 1k miles from those shops so some other nerd is finding awesome deals.

So many of these shops now are using eBay as a price guide. I haven't seen a "mom and pop" shop sell games for reasonable prices in years. Our local Mega Media XChange in particular has gone off the deep end - they had a TG-16 setup (unboxed, no games) they were selling for $300 last year.

so roy, what did you do in the end with those 4882 games? lol :)

I sold them. What else could I do with 500 copies of Doom for the 32x?  lol
All is well. :)

Don't get me started on this.  I have almost jumped over the counter of my local game place when they have something stickered with a price, but when you bring it up, they do the "price correction" to make sure they aren't accidentally underpricing it based on todays market.  Games sitting around for over a year, obviously nobody bought at the original price they had it at, but it must be worth more NOW!

I bought a model 1 genesis with a model 1 Sega cd, three controllers, and an arcade stick, with original adapters and av wires, all functioning off eBay for $30. With shipping the total was $60.

I just want to add to the Blue love as he sent me a free Avenue 6 controller when he found out I was playing SF 2:CE with the default 2 button controller :D

It's been my main controller ever since and I got it.

I know we as a community can off a bit prickly but you guys are some of the best a$$holes I have ever had the pleasure to know :)

^^ I agree... Blue surprised me with Alien Crush. In the words of Bill and Ted... He is a most righteous dude.

Yeah, both Blue and Bernie have been unbelievably generous to me as well. There are so many generous folks here (Chop, Keith Courage, Turbokon, Majors, Necro, Lochlan, the list could go on and on).

Blue stole my Roland midi module and threw my X68000 onto the freeway from the overpass. He made me watch it fall to the ground and screamed "YOU WANTED THIS" as I watched it smash to pieces in tears.

Actually Blue was solely responsible for hooking me up with the X68000 setup, rather unselfishly over the course of 2 years (system, RAM, first midi card, second midi card, more ram, etc). I owe you one big time, dude!
