Eh? Nexzr is much harder than Super Star Soldier.

Really? IMO Super Star Soldier was tougher than Nexzr. SSS has more bullets, more bosses, and longer stages. Stages 6 and 8 in SSS are a real pain and it's because of those two stages I bumped it above Nexzr. I can't remember how many times I died trying to pass them. I know it took me like 3 months to actually beat this game for the first time and I used more than 50 continue in just one sitting. Where as with Nexzr took me 3 weeks to beat, and another 2 days to get 1CC. I've read reviews of Nexzr that it's "really hard" , but after playing it I don't see why.

Photo Boy !!!  :D What a great little game !!! Can be quite expensive to get hold off a copy but boy does it make you  :D when you play it.

With reagards to Nexzr I thought that game was a little to easy to !!

Varying off the subject of what game to get next - Can anyone tell me WHAT THE H@LL did they do to the R-Type music on the cd version (mine just arrived today ).Instead of a beat bass drumming get yer fingers pressing faster tune you get what I can only call plinky plonky music - it spoils the whole R-type feel .......arrrrrrr !

You're not alone, but personally, I welcomed the change... I've heard the same old R-Type tunes over and over, ad nauseum (you know, like when you listen to a great album too many times and start to lose interest in it?). Courageous souls profess their love for the R-Type soundtrack. Variety is the spice of life (well... sometimes, anyway :D).

I was not impressed by the R-Type complete CD. The music was not how I expected it should sound and the Intros were for the most part boring and poorly drawn (with some exceptions, particularly one near the start if I remember correctly).

I wish the cinemas had a more daring, kool edge to them. The artwork in R-Type (ship design, enemies, backgrounds) was very distinctive when it came out and the cinema scenes should have followed in this tradition. Instead, R-Type Complete gave us a rather generic cinema aesthetic. Too bad.
