Tennokoe Bank 2 with component video output
« on: July 17, 2014, 02:28:03 AM »
Hey guys, I have two Tennokoe Bank 2 laying around.  If there are any interest I was thinking about adding component video output on it.  It will be $85 plus shipping, pretty much the same price I charge for installing the component video to the unit itself.

Would this work with a coregrafx? Will the regular composite out still function?

I'm sure Turbo will chime in, but just to give you an idea, i have used his component amps in my TG-16 and Super CDROM.  The answer to your first question is a definite 'yes'.  I am fairly certain (like 95%) the answer to the second is 'yes' as well.  The Super CDROM uses the expansion port just like he Tennokoe Bank does and my coregrafx II's composite still works even if the component is plugged in at the same time.

BTW - he is basically throwing in a Tennokoe Bank for free.  This is what he normally charges for just a component mod.  If you were thinking of component modding your PCE or CoreGrafx I or II, this is a great deal.

Schweaty is correct, will work with the coregrafx and composite video is still intact.

Nice. What would the shipping cost to Canada?

Also my CGX is region modded. Will that cause a problem?

Shipping shouldn't be that much but I can get you an exact quote if you PM me your address.

On your coregrafx, if the switch is mounted on the side, is it mounted towards the front (before the a/v port) or toward the back (after the a/v port).  Will be a problem if it's toward the back.

I just checked. The switch sits on the AV port side about a half inch in front of the AV port.

Ok, you should be good then.
