turbo chip replacement label

so, some of the newer releases didn't come with a case...Air Zonk, Etc...

So I had an empty old Bonk's revenge case with a worn label I sacrificed for this and created a replacement for my Air Zonk card.

hard to tell from my crappy pics, but it looks identical

very pleased.

If anyone wants the photoshop file, you must first prove you are pure of heart and walk through those 2 statues on Neverending Story.

Hey I dig that, that's quite nice! I would consider doing that for a game like Air Zonk as well, just because it's kind of annoying keeping a loose HuCard laying around or keeping it in the paper box.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

That's quite sweet!

Chris Covell used to have some templates (postscript format) at his site, IIRC. But his site appears to be offline right now (maybe this is temporary?) and I don't know if his files allowed you to easilly edit the name of the game (as you can do in Photoshop -- which makes your templates very accessible).

BUT, the real reason I'm responding:
The Neverending Story ruled!

Hey, you originally provided this file without having to pass through there. What made you change your mind? Got inspired by that (awesome) movie?

That's really cool, did you have any trouble finding a sticker you could print it on?

It's a lot clumsier, but the thing I used to do when I had loose hucards was make a label I could insert in the back of a standard jewel case, then break out the cd holder thing so the hucard would fit in the case. Not as cool as this to be sure, though it doesn't require the special hucard jewel cases.

I've had a couple people mention the "curve" on the edges not matching the Bonk's revenge sticker....I adjusted it in my file. BUT, I noticed its very inconsistent among many releases. I noticed the cut of these labels to be different and found a couple that match perfectly, and some that were much more curved. I adjusted it a little to match the majority of carts I have.

Also, go get a can of 3M spray adhesive. Works great, still sticking strong.

I would like the Photoshop file.  Please upload it and provide a link.  My e-mail can handle 50MB files but most other people's cannot.  I would do my own but it looks like you've already done the work, so why bother?  I also need to make one for New Adventure Island.

PS - I do this sort of thing all of the time with Genesis and 32X games that come in paper boxes.  All of my collection is now in plastic boxes!  Well except for the two Turbo games mentioned above.

So, what kind of Plastic boxes do you use for the 32-X carts? I find that using the Master System Cart boxes work like a charm.

Really?  Let me check -- Yeah they seem to work, but they seem to be a really tight fit.

What I do is I buy as many Quarterback Clubs as I can for the 32X.  They are super cheap and have great plastic boxes.  I toss the game and keep the box.  Here's some examples:

When I don't have a 32X box, a regular EA box will work, but the cart tends to slide around a bit.  You can get EA boxes super cheap since they made so many awful sports games.

Speaking of EA boxes, if you get one of the super fat ones, you can use it to house Sonic and Kuckles!

PS - Thanks Pixeljunkie!!!!

Hell Yeah, I would trash QB Club also, craptastic game if I ever saw one! Nice to see that I ain't the only guy around that still collects 32-X as well! Nice!
