Played this and Alien Crush last night for a bit. So, yes, Devil's Crush is the better game, but man, I like the soundtrack to Alien Crush a good deal more.
Pinball on videogame consoles was weird back when these were coming out. I think they're still some of the most interesting games I've ever seen. There's a lot you lose by taking pinball into a digital space, but these two really showed that there was a lot to be gained as well. Yeah, you're playing pinball on your game console, but you're also playing a videogame. I thought it was leaps and bounds ahead of, say, NES Pinbot.
As a dumb aside, TZD used to have an FAQ where a question was if they would buy used games from owners. TZD's response was something like "We can't do that because then we wouldn't be selling all NEW games. Also, how many copies of Kieth Courage would we end up with compared to how many copies of Devil's Crush?"
