How does anyone not like Rocky 4? The music! The never ending montages! Dolph Lungren's stunning performance! It's great!

Been a while since seeing that, almost didn't trust that was Stallone at first, thought it was an edited video leading to a parody or something. Heh.

Anybody that thought of seeing Creed BTW ?

I am curious about Creed, but I decided to watch the first bunch of Rocky films with my family first.  It has been so long since I have seen them, and I never watched them back-to-back.

Yeah, I want to see Creed too, but I want to rewatch the series first since its been years. I ordered the bluray set from bb that has all of them for $18.

CREED was great.  I'm a pretty big fan of the series and wasn't overly excited about the spinoff initially, since it looked like it was a shallow effort to try and bring in a younger, more urban crowd to a familiar IP.  Thankfully, CREED was a clever and authentic take on the series, really making Philly the star and giving the movie a personality and a heart that hadn't been there since the first movie.  I got choked up a few times thanks to Stallone and Jordan, the movie literally hit all the right beats, and it earned them too with a nuanced story.  It knows the formula and subverts it in clever ways that make the ending feel fresh again.  Highly recommended - again, I'm a fan of the series and even still I'd rank CREED as right up there behind the first or possibly 4th one.  It rules.
I'm a notorious strange man.

Hey, good to hear, a genuine effort with good writing/directing. I admire how Stallone kept the franchise alive, but it's rare to overcome the shitty sequel effect. Dunno if anyone saw the last Rambo, but woah, there's this very realistic scene rightly called "Firepower" when he takes over the enemy's machine gun mounted jeep and starts blasting away... I was surprised, hadn't seen something like that in a war movie, he didn't wanna censor anything. Then there's the booby trap for an old WW bomb going off which was awesome [the explosion effect]. Anyway, yeah, that's a great one to grab on BluRay.

I have not seen Creed yet, I would like to, but there it talk that it might be an Oscar contender.  Pretty cool.
