One photo with no explanation of exactly what it is, how they got around the fact that the huey slot doesn't have all the same connections as the back plane connector, and how the Arcade Card is seemingly connected to the Super CD add-on makes this pretty much useless.

I'm surprised Ben Heck or someone hasn't made a portable TurboDuo yet.

Obviously, they modified the TTi PC/Mac interface cable.

Well, I'm not convinced that they are using the cart slot - the picture doesn't clearly show where the wires are going.  They could have gone inside the case to get all the backplane connections.  But in the end, it doesn't look very useful.

It can be done since CPU has all the required pins. I had thought about it and added something like a micro SCSI connector wired to the CPU and making a custom cable that connects micro SCSI connector to that 3x23 pin connector for CD drive.  Never tried it at all since CD^2 aren't portable and they are too bulky to properly hack for portable play.  Super CD-ROM is too valuable for me to even think of ruining one.

Converting Duo to portable is probably easier.  Someone was able to cut a Duo in half and made it a stand alone non-CD system. Portable version can be done by cutting the board in half, folding the CD drive and CD board over to the back, and rewiring them all then bulding or 3D printing custom shell.  Another drawback to portable CD is they aren't power efficient as later CD consoles like PSOne with Duo sucking up almost 1.5A plus more for LCD.

Cool hack if the picture is legit.

How many C batteries does it consumer per hour?

Lets say a turbo express uses AA 6 batteries for 3 hours of life
A C battery has about 3-4x the capacity of a AA battery we will go with 3 and say 2 C batteries would run the turbo express for 3 hours.

The CD looks to use 1.5 times draw of the express. So lets say 3 C batteries for 3 hours

So 5 C batteries for 3 hours which is (1 and 2/3 C batteries to 2 C Batteries Per Hour) Depending on volume and CD Spin time, In todays battery prices about $2.00-2.50 an hour In 1990 prices 1.38.

google translated

Start the Super CD Romuromu through unmodified of PC Engine GT of Hu card slot.
The According to the place to hear EXT-BUS at the back of the PC Engine (bus to connect and voice of the sky 2 and the printer not only interface) it seems to have come up with a similar signal and Hu card slot, CD Romuromu its signal line only does not seem to use.

This is awesome! Now I can play ys 1&2 on a super tiny screen causing me to squint constantly to see things accompanied by horrible speakers for the sound. How could it get any better?!

I love to see him create a add on LT style lcd screen using rgb ( with rgb amp) interface

imagine a psone screen on core graftx with super cd rom add on

or a duo screen using rgb

my mouth is already watering

My JXD is all I need for traveling. I just want to play RPG/War Sim/Digicomic style games when I have some real free time.

The LT is more than good enough for action games though.
