New to the PC Engine Community
« on: March 31, 2016, 10:50:03 AM »
Hello all I am new to this community and have recently discovered the PC Engine after being a NES and SEGA guy for the last 30 years.
I got a DUO RX from a Mom and Pop local retro store and this has quickly become my favorite system.
I am enjoying exploring what with system has offer and sad I missed it the first time around.

Welcome. For me (and apparently quite a few others), there has always been something about the TG-16/PC Engine that stood out over all the other offerings. It's hard to put down. I'm on my third go around owning this system.

You found an RX at a local place? Lucky you. I've never seen a Duo for sale, much less an RX, anywhere but on the internet.

Wow, you found an Duo RX at a random store? Congrats! Whats this a game store or just some random pawn shop? How much did the whole kit cost you? Did it come with any freebees?

Welcome to the forum and like others have said what store did you find an RX at? That is amazing to find in the wild.

Here in the North Texas area I have only seen one broken TG16 at a retail store.

This was a local retro game store , it had the box all instructions and all oem accessories and I paid about what a very clean Duo Rx goes for without the shipping cost. They were asking a lot but I made them a reasonable offer based off the prices I has researched for this clean of a unit complete with box. They threw in some TG16 original manuals as well. I have enjoyed this system so much I have expanded my arsenal of systems to include a tecapped Turbo Express and a very recently added a Supergrafx.
