If you were rich enough you wouldn't need to ask, so I think the reality is you shouldn't buy this. Is any video game worth this much? I don't know, I don't think so. If you wanted it so bad you could buy a PC engine duo, jp magical chase, Dracula X and    pretty much all the best games for the same price as that one turbo chip.

Lol I just wanted to see if anyone knew what they were "roughly" going for..

Whatever it is going for it's still far to much man, This community is so sick of hearing about its worth or its so called market value we take massive hot mess shits on threads like this as you can see. Just get a repro and save yourself the trouble and embarrassment of paying to much. :) hugs

Just an arms open community eh, I see your point though. I honestly was reluctant to even post here, but didn't know where else to go

Anyone have any insight? I can only search eBay sold listings so far.

$2,140 was the last one sold on eBay in April.

Would $1,550 be a decent price to pick it up loose?

I know its an overhyped game, but besides that. I'm curious to talk numbers

You would think because of the nichèness* everyone would be more interconnected eh

We are. This is a PCE/PC-FX game enthusiast community. Collectardism is not niche at all and makes up most of retro game interest. The two are polar opposites, but if you're not interested in discussing non-collecting game related topics, you still have most of the rest of the internet. You can still enjoy hardcore market talk elsewhere and PCE/PC-FX/game discussion here, but you shouldn't be surprised that people in one area aren't super enthusiastic about the other.

It's also counter productive to ask what to pay for a game while expressing your interest in being able to flip it.

We are connected just fine, just not with you. Noobs asking about the most expensive game on the system barely even deserve a response at this point, let alone courtesy.

Gex, if you haven't figured it out by now, we want to talk about playing games first and foremost.

Somebody already said this...and about how tiresome it is to hear about acquiring the MOTHERf*ckING HOLY GRAIL MAJIKAL CHAISE LOUNGE.

:)

Seriously.

My advice - buy a repro, or an everdrive.  Play the game everyday, preferably for several months.  If you absolutely fall in love with the game, and only an original will do, then by all means buy it and cherish it.  Very few games have EVER met that category for me.  Dont buy it as an investment. Dont buy it as a flip.  Buy it because it is a game you love to play.
