^^I can remember talking to Rove over ten years ago about Golden Axe. My biggest complaint with the Genesis version was always the lack of eyeball animation in the turtle and great eagle. The "kill" sound sample also bothered me as a kid. You gotta love that Brian Dennehy scream!

Yeah from what I remember it was going to have every single adpcm sample in it, except for one that had to be shortened a bit. Hopefully it gets finished someday because a lot of work was done on it.

Ask for Turbo games coming over to the Genesis, don't forget about Vigilante! And in a way, Black Tiger as well since that was planned for the pce but ended up switching over to Son Son 2.

Tit for Tat I guess :D, we'll just have to bring over some games that are strictly known for the Genesis, iver to the Turbob. Especially with the new tools that continue to be developed, Splatterhouse two and three, neither of those would be a problem and they belong on the pce anyways in a manner of speaking.. Probably use Turboxray's HuSlayer engine, but that's just me guessing. Maybe someone else will come up with a different engine that would suit it better.

There's currently someone working on a SuperGrafx Super CD version of Shinobi which of course is already on the pce but this will be more accurate. If we can get Golden Axe finished, maybe we could do Golden Axe 2 and 3 just for fun!

What other Sega games could homebrewers someday port over to the Turbob? Go to be honest most if not all the people that are doing these Genesis versions of games known for being on the pce are also fans of the pce. They're not doing it out of spite or anything.

But yeah I really want to see a lot of the NES games like the Contras and Trojan and Legendary Wings, but rebuilt with the arcade graphics and pce colors. There's quite a few I would love to see, not to mention we just need some good side scrolling run and gunners.

Also, would love to see from the ground up version of the arcade Strider, but also think it would be cool to have the NES version remade with new graphics and maybe a map!

I always thought that a more colorful Metal Storm would be badass on the Turbo.
Current want list:  Bomberman 93

On the topic of more realistic requests, I'd love to see a port of Prince of Persia to the Hucard format. Yes I realize a port exists on PCE/TG CD, but that's not the same thing as Hucard. Just about every possible computer, console and handheld of the 80s and early 90s got a port of Prince of Persia, except for the base PCE/TG16 system.

I mention all this because several years ago, the source code to the original Apple //e 128K version of Prince of Persia was put on GitHub by Jordan Mechner. If I knew anything about assembly coding, I'd do it myself... Problem is I don't. All I know is the only easy part is the CPU code could run on PCE nearly unaltered (HuC6280 is fully backwards compatible with the 6502 and 65C02), the big problem comes in with having to port over the graphics and sound which on Apple //e are CPU driven, would pretty much have to fully re-write all that to use the dedicated graphics and sound processors in the PCE.

Me, I wouldn't even mind if the port was basic and looked like the Apple II original, I'd just like to have POP on the last major platform of the era to not get a port (aside from the Atari 7800).
