Game of the Month: November 2024 - Shockman

SHOCKMAN

Wanted something like a run n gun this month. There isn't a whole lot but Shockman also known as Cyber Citizen Shockman 2 will fit the bill. Haven't done this one yet for GotM but did do Shubibin' Man 3.  This one is two years after the first game. You play as Arnold and Sonya who are out to save their kidnapped professor from the invading Ryo Empire. This is also 2 players co op so grab a friend and enjoy!

Fucking love Shockman!  One of the first Turbo games I played thru from beginning to end. (Albeit with the health recovery cheat!) I got decent at it and was able to beat it without the code.


I wonder if I can still do it?

I picked up the three Shubibinman games last year and played through them. It'll be nice to revisit part 2 again. I'll definitely be abusing cheats.

I don't ever remember using cheats to beat this. It has been a long time though since I've played through this one.

I didn't pick this up until around 10 years ago or so.  I don't think I've beaten it yet.  I had it as my most wanted game for what feels like a year or more; it eluded me until eventually I lucked out and got it for a good price.  I'm not certain if I've beaten the game or not, but either way I think it's overall a really cool game.  A 2 player simultaneous Megaman-like game is a solid idea.

I'm boot it up later tonight and play it with Mrs. Enbu; we'll see if we can manage the win!

always liked this game. i needed the turbo switches to get through a couple levels though
would've been cool if the pce got its own megaman, but i guess SonSon II is the closest thing we have
I'm surprised the genesis never got a blatant megaman clone!

I like the third one, kinda like the first, am at my worst with the second.  Can't beat any of them without at least a save state, though!
