Hello guys,

So I'm in the process of recaping my PC Engine DUO and was looking for some help for the following questions:

- What is underneath the ba6290A (the one close to the CD drive) is just a regular thermal pad? Kinda had to destroy it a little bit to have access to the capacitor legs, was planning to order this one:  https://a.co/d/4eKV11s  for replacement.

- I kinda messed up when desoldering the capacitors close to the volume wheel and it melted a bit ( even though I used aluminum foil to cover it while using the hot air station)
Does any one know if the Gameboy advance pot is a 1-1 replacement?  https://console5.com/store/replacement-game-boy-color-and-game-boy-advance-volume-potentiometer-volume-control-knob.html

The replacement parts you mention ordering will work for both the pad under the BA chip and the volume dial for the headphone out.

Awesome! BTW I replaced the vol pot yesterday, I haven't tested it yet as I still have like 20 caps to solder... but I was checking for bridges using a multi and while I'm pretty sure I don't have any bridge I get continuity In the first 3 pins is this normal?

Yes, they are all connected by traces on the board. All ground.
