Once again, thank you both for the feedback. It's great to have some help as this is quite frustrating at times.
I bought another CoreGrafx and now the Super CD ROM2 doesn't spin at all. The Bios screen shows ok, after pressing run there isn't any movement at all. After a while it says "PLEASE SET DISC". The lid switch works.
So, current status is:
Fixed via of capacitor c136 (top PCB negative side), bridged via near the negative side of capacitor c163 (now it's 5V in both sides).
Here are two pics that show the path to that via. It starts at pin 39 of CXA1082, Spindle Drive Output. Before I fixed the via, that pin read 2.34 V
I tried today without soldering back the metal shield as I read it doesn't matter that much and I won't have time to solder until weekend.
An area which I haven't check thoroughly is the one under the BA chips. It looked ok but I'll have to desolder the chips to inspect further.
So, from constant spinning to no spinning at all, there's something wrong in that area but I don't know if there could be any more vias involved.
@Keith Courage I've tried to wipe the contacts with the coffee filter method and still the same colors. I could check if there are any broken pins from the ribbon but when connected with the super CDRom2 it showed the same colors without a HuCard in.
@michellybells Thank you very much for the offer. I ended up getting one from eBay. From Japan, 120 € only the console. I guess is not a great price as I remember those shops in Akihabara that have everything piled up were really cheap but it's in very good shape and it came with the EXP Bus cover. It took 9 days to arrive so I could play a bit with the Super Nintendo to clear my mind.
