I want to ask some questions about TG-16

How much should an unboxed system cost?
What is the best way to hook one up to a PVM?
Are there any must have peripherals, or upgrades?
What is compatibility with PC-E games like?

The only question of those that I can answer is the compatibility with pce games. CD games have no region protection, HuCards DO have region protection. CD games however of course require different system cards depending on if a game is a standard CD or super CD or arcade CD.

There are a few anomalies. Bonanza Brothers for instance will only work with a Japanese super System card, it will NOT work with the US Super System card!. Generally speaking the arcade card will play everything. However at least Altered Beast will not work properly unless using the original 1.0 card. I'm not aware of any other games that have that same problem though.

There might be one other super CD game that requires the Japanese Super System card, I believe that game is Alshark. In a nutshell, getting the correct arcade card will play everything except Altered Beast. But you will need an adapter or region switch mod to use an arcade card. And there are two different types of arcade cards, the arcade card Duo which works with the Duo systems, and the arcade card Pro which is what you would need, along with an adapter, to play on your TG-cd

1)  Sorry, I don't know pricing any more
2)  I'm not a PVM user, but I think I'd go for krizz's RGB mod thing that plugs into the expansion port (see #3)
3)  If I were getting a TG-16 or PCE (non-CD system), I'd have to snag an everdrive pro to play roms and isos, and using #2 for the stereo CD out.  You'll also need a tap and extra controller(s) if you have friend(s) that'll game with you.  Finally, I love my bluetoof adapter thing and 3bitdo wireless pad.
4)  What PD said.  Also, if you're playing off the everdrive pro, I think that'll handle whatever syscard needs or hucard region issues.
